ACI’s WBP programme offers members the opportunity to connect with a global network of airports, access valuable tools and resources, and discover new business opportunities. Since joining ACI in 2003, NACO has taken an active role in the organisation, supporting the collective mission to enhance both the aviation community and the industry.

Following a vote from all ACI WBP members in November 2024, Esther was named as the new European Representative for a three-year term starting in January 2025.

Speaking of her election, Olivier Jankovec, ACI Europe DG said: “I warmly congratulate Esther for being appointed the European representative on the ACI World Business Partners Advisory Board for a three-year term. This position is of huge importance to our vibrant WBP community in Europe, as it serves as an interface for our unique perspective and know-how to be represented at the global level. As the MD of NACO, the leading aviation consultancy, Esther has first-hand experience in developing resilience strategies so that airports can meet evolving operational, economic and environmental demands and changing passenger expectations. I’ve no doubt that this skillset will help Esther will drive our industry forward in this pivotal time of deep transformation.”

With over 20 years’ experience helping airports to adapt to the demands of a rapidly evolving sector, Esther is well placed to find new ways of working and foster connections between industry representatives. A well-known advocate for diversity, Esther will also seek to spotlight the benefit to our industry of embracing a wide range of views and voices.

Esther commented: “I’m honoured to have been selected by such a respected membership body and look forward to playing my part in this Advisory Board. Fundamental to the future of our industry is collaboration and I’m keen to ensure that all aspects of our industry are well-represented. NACO has always derived a strong sense of community from being part of ACI, which I want to help others to benefit from too. So, from multi-nationals to start ups, I will be championing the interests of all our European World Business Partners as we work together.

Esther takes over the role from Tine Haas, Director Airports & Aviation at Dornier Group, and will take up her new position from January 2025.

I know only too well that it can take too long for talk to turn to action. We need to be bolder about taking the first step in collaboration, celebrate small triumphs, learn quickly and move forward together. Helping individual businesses to succeed – whatever their size or maturity – will allow us to shape a positive, resilient future for the industry together.
